WHAT'S THIS ABOUT
Recovering lost time in a Saturday Two Day Final.
DISCUSSION
Adam Brady suggested
- Where more than 2 hours play is lost on day 1 of a Saturday competition final, then play can commence at 9:30am on Day 2 and be extended to 5:30pm on Day 2 i.e. you can ‘recover’ 1 hour of play on Day 2.
- If further time is lost on day 2 of a final, then play can be extended to 5:30pm on Day 2 i.e. you can ‘recover’ 30mins of play on Day 2.
- Minimum overs will be adjusted at a rate of 1 over for each extra 4 minutes added or lost due to further interruption (i.e 7 for 30 minutes, 15 for 60 minutes)
This scheme is to be ADDED to the existing provisions of Reg 35.11. So more than two hours lost on day 1 adds 30 minutes on day1 AND 60 minutes on day 2.
A similar change is strongly recommended for CCC Reg 23.10 onwards.
